Secrets Revealed: Images Of Hands In My Art

Hands: 

I cannot do this blog post about hands, without combining it with motivational quotes as each of my hand’s paintings are very specific in conveying a message.

Quotes can express in words, what you feel in your heart.

I try to capture a feeling in my hand’s paintings of compassion, understanding, giving, support, and comfort.

And I would like to add… belief that your fall will be softened by caring “hands”.

I did a few paintings on wooden hands, depicting a story on each hand.

Messenger Hands: 

Maybe a little element in my paintings can keep you going when you’re down. Sometimes you just need to “feel” a message in an image.

All of us goes through dark times in our lives. When you are there, caught up in overpowering raw emotions, it feels like you will never see the light again. 

I did this painting as “payment” for my psychiatrist a few years ago, my medical aid – drained,  my bank account in the red, me, running on empty. 

This was how I felt, stripped of everything, nothing left, the Dragonflies, symbolic of change, adaptability, and transformation, the feather, a messenger of the angles, picked up after my last session on my way out.

I knew will be fine… the red string on my finger, a reminder that the sun will shine again…   Blank page, torn out of a book, a new page, a new chapter, a new beginning…
