Terms and Conditions

Please read and acknowledge the following terms and conditions. When submitting an order, it must be placed strictly in accordance or compliance with these conditions.

Our aim is to provide customer satisfaction and we believe that this can be achieved with goodwill, honesty and patience from both parties.

The procedures and general principles of www.mariaankotzeart.co.za do not supersede statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts but simply provide the guidelines by which we operate.

Payment/Currency 

All prices on www.mariaankotzeart.co.za are quoted in South African Rand. Payments are to be made in South African Rand by the following methods:

  • Cheque
  • Postal Order
  • Credit/Debit Card. Credit card sales will be charged by your credit card provider in your local billing currency.

You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours.

Courier and Handling

This charge is added to the cost of the goods and is to cover carriage, administration and the packing costs of the goods to the delivery address. If you have any special requirements then please contact us. Special delivery requirements may incur an additional cost, which will be quoted upon request.

For quantities more than three individual items, there may be a small additional charge to cover extra costs of carriage and handling.

Duties and Local Taxes

The customer is responsible for any duties and/or taxes that the destination country may levy at the point of entry of the goods.

Dispatch of Goods 

Goods will be dispatched, usually within 10 working days of receipt of payment. If there is any delay, perhaps through short-term unavailability of particular prints or frames, then we will contact you to advise you about the situation.

Accidental Damage and Loss in Transit

Should the goods become damaged or lost in transit, then please advise us. We will try to either replace or locate the goods as soon as possible. We will never knowingly send out goods that are faulty or damaged prior to packing.

If the goods arrive and the packaging appears to be badly damaged then please make some form of documentation on the delivery note, even before opening the packaging. If possible try to open the damaged packaging in the presence of the carrier. If you are unable to, then sign for the goods as “Damaged package, uninspected goods”, so that in the event of a claim against the courier, both parties are aware where the responsibility lies. Please contact us in the event of any damage so that we can make arrangements to collect and replace the goods as soon as possible.

Returns and Refunds 

Please call us if you wish to return the goods so we can arrange collection/refund. Refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.

Customer Confidentiality

All information supplied to us by customers will be held as confidential. It may be stored on a computer database for our use only and will not be supplied to any third parties. Mailing information may be used by us to inform you of goods and exhibitions of paintings that we feel may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to be contacted by us in the future then please instruct us in writing.

Law

All transactions through www.mariaankotzeart.co.za are governed by South African Law, therefore legal actions arising from any transactions through this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of South Africa.

Delivery

A delivery and handling charge is added to the cost of the goods and is to cover transportation, administration and the packing costs of the goods to the delivery address. If you have any special requirements then please contact us. Special delivery requirements may incur an additional cost, which will be quoted upon request. Insurance as per individual request.

  • Special Overnight Delivery/Courier – item size dependent

South African Neighbouring Countries

  • Courier – item size dependent

International Worldwide Shipping

  • International Rest of the World – item size dependent

Collection from an Outlet or a Gallery

You have the option to meet us personally and collect your print/painting from the gallery for free.

All other countries

Mariaan Kotze Art creates art for an international client base; and are more than happy to discuss arrangements for shipping of any of our products anywhere in the world. Please do not hesitate to contact us for a customised quotation.

Returns
