Inspiration of The Sparrow
I have always had a deep fascination with sparrows, and in a way consider my self to be very similar in nature to this beautiful bird. The sparrow is notorious for its migration, moving from one continent to another as the seasons change, but always returning back to their exact nest. I tend to follow the same rhythm, never really staying in one place for long, but as the sparrows return to their nests I am now migrating back to my “home” and family.
Symbolism of The Sparrow
This painting symbolizes the end of a chapter lived in solitary and the beginning of one where i am surrounded by my family. The taped wing of the sparrow portrays grounding, and how the “change in seasons” will no longer drive me to fly, and the butterfly wings between which the sparrow hangs is symbolic of the support system which will surround me.
Description of The Sparrow
This 12.5 x 17.5 cm artwork is done in an earthy colour palette complemented by a stark white background. The work is balanced by the three subjects, the most important of which placed in the center for emphasis.
These earthy tones will look superb with nearly any colour scheme, but with a hint of natural green tones this work will surely pop.
