Description

Delving into the heart of our delicate ecosystem with my latest painting in the ‘Ephemeral Bonds: Women as Guardians of Vanishing Species’ series.
Each stroke tells a story of shared vulnerability between women and endangered animals, a plea for their protection.
Meet the Ethiopian Wolf, a mesmerizing creature standing at the edge of extinction.
The Bale Mountains of southern Ethiopia are home to 300 of the estimated 500 Ethiopian wolves left.
Their sanctuary is encroached upon by agricultural expansion, leading to habitat loss and conflicts with local farmers.
Fatal diseases like rabies and canine distemper virus, transmitted from domestic dogs, pose further threats.
Through my art, I aim to shed light on this poignant reality and ignite the urgency for conservation. 🐺.
