I am excited to present my new range of merchandise!

I went on a journey of searching the right images and the right companies to work with – what a journey!

A lot of time and money went into this search but at last I found something I am happy with.

This is only the start of many more product ranges like these.

I am working on a few other ideas in my head but it will happen bit by bit over time, as I have a few challenges time and money wise.

One of the aspects that held me back with the official start of my product/merchandise range, was the fact that I did not want to use my paintings, as they are, on the products.

I had a few designs made in the past but never was happy with it.

In the end, I went the “primitive”, old school way, as I don’t have Photoshop or CorelDraw or any program like that. I also don’t have the time or patience to learn to use it at this stage of my life.

So, please don’t laugh! I literally printed a few images I knew I wanted to use in my designs and cut out the elements in the paintings.

I displayed it on a blank canvas as I pictured it in the design and send a photo to a graphic designer, Leezandra – she fine tuned the design for me. From there I gave her carte blanche with the designs of the place mats, using smaller images out of the bigger picture, and I love the outcome!

Another name I just have to mention is the amazing Tjaart from STphotography  – Tjaart went out of his way to make time for a photoshoot with me and I feel he captured the playful vibe, going with the feeling of this whimsical range, perfectly.

Tjaart had so much patience with me and my ever-changing mind.

And thank you to my friend, Gerhard Bouwer, who is always willing, day or night, to help me with my website!

Thank you Gerhard, Tjaart and Lee.

And then, thank you to my mom and dad that I could “set my table” for the photo shoot in a corner of their garden.

My mom calls this part of the garden her “Monet Garden” –   click on this link to see paintings of the   Monet   garden.
