Kobus – The dad:
Not only is my dad an amazing artist, but he is also a number 1 dad!
My dad – enjoying us as kids, my sister on the left is not with us anymore and when this photo was taken, my “baby” brother was still not in the “picture”.
Kobus- The Artist:
Kobus is a well-established artist and well known in art circles.
Kobus Kotzés passionate love for capturing landscapes is very much the essence of his inspiration. Kobus studied agriculture and on his farm in the Eastern-Cape, he recorded a barrage of ideas during the day and spent the evenings in his studio expressing it on canvas.
Kobus has been painting since 1967 and with all the years of experience, he developed a unique sense for mixing and using colors.
Kobus held his first solo exhibition in 1971, and many other exhibitions followed. In 1990 Kobus became a full-time artist.
One of the exceptional qualities in his work is his ability to make the sky look exciting, real and radiant.

At the age of almost 82, he is still going strong and enjoys painting as much as ever.
